JUAN JOSE LOZANO

Swiss and Colombian filmmaker born in 1971 in Ibagué, Colombia. After Cinema and Television studies at the National University of Colombia, he worked during the 90’ as independent producer and director for documentaries involving the Colombian Television.

Since 2000, he lives in Switzerland where he directed several politically involved films dealing both with his host country – exploring young foreigners’ experiences of immigration (“Un train qui arrive est aussi un train qui part”, 2003) and the armed conflict in Colombia, examining its effects on the people (“Le bal de la vie et de la mort”, 2001. “Until the last stone”, 2006).

His first documentary feature for theatrical release « Unwanted witness », 2008, wins prize Best Swiss Documentary at Visions du Réel, and was selected in several festivals (Toronto, Locarno, Rotterdam Leipzig…).

HOLLMAN MORRIS

Colombian journalist born in Bogota, in 1968, who has spent more than 15 years covering Colombia’s internal armed conflict, with a particular focus on human rights issues.

Since 2002, Morris has directed the television series Contravía (Countercurrent). Through dozens of 28 minutes chapters, he has filmed some of the most important human rights cases in Colombia. His job has been considered for the academy and the experts as one of the must important video documentation of the recent history of Colombia.

For his commitment to keep the memory of the Colombian contemporary history he has received important prizes around the world: Human Rights Watch Defender, 2007; Ibero-american New Journalism Foundation, 2007 and recently the Nuremberg International Human Rights Prize.
